When it comes to buying property in G\u00f6hren on R\u00fcgen, expectations are demanding. This is particularly true for high-quality apartments in the townhouses of the Lykland project. To meet these demands, the developers, in collaboration with architects Krieger and Mielke, have commissioned an almost house-high sculpture. This impressive monument not only symbolises the exterior of the ecological townhouses but also offers the opportunity to discover the sightlines to the Baltic Sea and the surrounding landscape on the South Beach of G\u00f6hren from the floors of the planned townhouses.<\/p>\n

The sculptural building mass ascends with fragile lightness on a specially cast concrete slab. The design comes from the renowned architect Marc Frederking, who has intensively engaged with townhouse architectural designs and was inspired by the local surroundings for the sculptural abstraction.<\/p>\n

Building shells as townhouses<\/h4>\n

The horizontally running facade skin of the building corresponds to the external appearance of the planned townhouses and blends harmoniously into the overall picture. The entrances also symbolise the entrance situation of the townhouses. First, the steps lead upwards centrally to the front balcony. The open spaces created by the recessed risers allow for views and give the building a sense of permeability. This transparency stands in fascinating contrast to the vertically running wooden elements of the tower, which symbolise stability and structure. Another highlight of the building is the staircase on the side leading to the next level. The balcony halfway up and the platform at the top allow for the actual sightlines of the planned buildings and offer future residents the opportunity to discover the magnificent panoramic views of the Baltic Sea and the wild, romantic nature of G\u00f6hren's S\u00fcdstrand.<\/p>\n
