Lykland on Rügen is a place where serenity, contentment and fulfillment are at home. Where people find themselves, their own nature and nature in general. A piece of Scandinavia in Germany.
The vacation homes in the Lykland nature quarter are architect-designed houses:
Selected architects worked closely with the clients to realize the nature quarter. They outline the expectations and needs based on predefined factors: ecological construction and healthy living in a particularly natural location on the south beach in Göhren. The architect-designed houses described have been created in accordance with legal regulations, the specifications of the municipality of Göhren, and the constructional principles such as statics, efficiency and sustainability. The use of ecological, durable and recyclable building materials is standard and a prerequisite for the architect-designed houses in the Naturquartier. The load-bearing exterior and interior walls of the detached houses consist of a sophisticated timber frame construction. A rear-ventilated façade cladding made of rough-sawn spruce boards with wood fiber insulation provides efficient insulation with natural insulating materials. Sustainable architecture is characterized by the form and function of a building as well as by the materials used in its construction and its energy efficiency. The ecologically high-quality building materials not only have an effect on the indoor climate or the health of the residents, but also on the environment, the climate and the consumption of resources. Sustainable construction considers the entire cycle from the extraction of raw materials to the recycling of materials.
